Unbox your HeartLinks

You'll find two heart keychains in your package. Each one is already paired to the other — no setup needed between them.

Make sure NFC is on

iPhone: NFC is always on — you're good to go!
Android: Go to Settings → Connections → turn on NFC.

Activate your heart

Hold the pointed top of your HeartLink to the back of your phone. A notification will pop up — tap it to open the activation page. Enter your name and enable notifications.

Give the second heart to your person

They'll do the same activation on their phone. Once both hearts are activated, you're connected!

Send your first hug

Tap your HeartLink to your phone again. Choose a hug to send. Their phone will light up instantly with your love. 💕

Pro tip: The NFC sensor is usually at the top-back of your phone. If it doesn't work at first, try moving the heart around slightly. Remove thick phone cases if needed.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

No! HeartLink works through your phone's web browser. Just tap to activate, enable notifications, and you're done. No app store, no downloads, no accounts to create.
HeartLink works with most modern smartphones that support NFC:
  • iPhone: iPhone XR and newer (iPhone X and earlier don't support background NFC)
  • Android: Most phones from 2018 onwards with NFC enabled
Not sure? Check your phone's settings for "NFC" — if it's there, you're good!
Never! HeartLink is powered by your phone's NFC signal when you tap. There's no battery inside — it works forever without charging.
Yes. Each HeartLink pair is uniquely linked to each other. No one else can send to or receive from your hearts. We don't share your data with anyone.
When you tap your HeartLink to your phone, it opens a page where you can choose a hug to send. Your partner's phone then receives a notification with your hug — something like "Dani Love sent you a hug 💕"
Yes! Tap your HeartLink and go to your dashboard. You can update your display name anytime.
We ship within 1-2 business days via Courier Guy. Delivery typically takes 2-3 days anywhere in South Africa. You'll receive tracking info via email. Order by February 11th for guaranteed Valentine's Day delivery!
Delivery is a flat R50 anywhere in South Africa 🇿🇦 — no surprises at checkout!
If your HeartLink arrives damaged or doesn't work, contact us within 7 days and we'll replace it or refund you. We want you to love your HeartLink!

🔧 Troubleshooting

  • Make sure NFC is enabled in your phone settings
  • Remove your phone case — thick cases can block NFC
  • Try tapping at the top-back of your phone (that's where NFC usually is)
  • Hold it still for 1-2 seconds
  • On iPhone, make sure your screen is on and unlocked
  • Make sure you allowed notifications during setup
  • Check your phone's notification settings for your browser (Chrome/Safari)
  • Try tapping your HeartLink again and re-enabling notifications
  • Make sure Do Not Disturb / Focus mode is off
  • Make sure your partner has activated their HeartLink
  • Check that they have notifications enabled
  • Ensure both phones have internet connection
  • Ask them to check their notification settings
